Waverly Products was born out of necessity to meet the demand for fine specialty sauces created by Col Don. Having honed his culinary skills at his Victorian style Waverly By The Sea Restaurant and his other Waverly Inn Restaurants he decided to bottle these tasty creations and make them available to everyone. They are now distributed nationally to upscale markets and shops. In 1971 The Steilacoom Historical Museum's annual Salmon Bake needed something to make it distinctive. Col Don provided a marinade and called it Secret Salmon Sauce. It has been used every since then and the Steilacoom Salmon Bake is now the premier bake in the Great Northwest.
