A Little History...
In 1971, The Steilacoom Historical Museum's annual Salmon Bake needed something
to make it distinctive so Colonel Don heeded the call and whipped up a fantastic marinade.
The Steilacoom Salmon Bake is now the premier bake in the Great Northwest and, every year, the salmon
grill masters use gallons of Colonel Don's delicious Secret Salmon Sauce.
Waverly Products was born out of necessity to meet the demand for the specialty sauces created by Colonel Don. Having honed his culinary skills at his Victorian-style Waverly By The Sea Restaurant and at his other fine dining establishments, he decided to bottle these tasty creations and make them available to everyone. They are now distributed nationally to upscale markets and shops.

A veteran of more foreign wars than Carter has little liver pills, the Colonel began his distinguished career as a lowly private in the balloon corps (we're not kidding) and finished up as a highly decorated officer. Retired now for many years, the Colonel practices his second love, the creation and manufacture of delightful sauces and rubs.
